Ashlay Leger is a dynamic and dependable attorney who zealously advocates for her clients. She is a dedicated commercial litigator who’s handled a comprehensive range of matters spanning employment cases, personal injury matters, energy litigation, contract disputes, fraud cases, product liability disputes and more. Notably, she has a strong and proven background in both commercial and residential real estate and construction disputes from working at prominent firms that specialized in both practice areas after graduating law school.
She takes pride in her involvement in the Houston legal community as well as pouring into the next generation of attorneys. She is a Committee Chair for the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association, an active member of the Garland Walker American Inn of Court, mentors law students, and regularly serves as a judge for moot court and mock trial competitions at all three Houston-area law schools.
Ashlay earned her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she graduated at the top of her class. During her time in law school, she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society, an Executive Board Member for the Black Law Students’ Association, selected to be an inaugural Legal Writing Consultant for the school’s Legal Writing Center, and co-authored a treatise on Texas trial procedure. Ashlay was also selected to serve as both an oral advocate and brief writer for South Texas College of Law Houston’s nationally acclaimed advocacy program. Ashlay earned her Bachelor of Arts in Law and French from the University of Arizona.
Ashlay also served as a judicial intern for the 270th Civil District Court of Harris County, working for the Honorable Judge Dedra Davis.
In her free time, Ashlay loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to museums, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the performing arts. Likewise, she likes to play sports such as volleyball, pickleball, and golf.

- Second chair in Construction defect and personal injury case as counsel for defendant where plaintiff sought $1.2M in damages and jury returned take nothing judgment in favor of defendant in District Court in Harris County, Texas
- Successfully argued and mediated oil & gas breach of contact cases related to daily pricing reports and oil & gas pricing systems
- Obtained summary judgment in several breach of contract matters in the commercial, residential, and industrial real estate context
- Member of trial team for large scale breach of contract case involving both statutory and common law fraud against a governmental entity
